A Taste of Law School
PDLG 2019 1L Boot Camp
August 5-8

As part of its mission to increase the diversity of the Philadelphia legal community, the PDLG is pleased to announce its 2019 Law School Boot Camp. PDLG Boot Camp offers a taste of the law school experience (including classes in 1L subjects) for students entering their 1L year. It is designed especially for incoming students who may not have substantial direct or detailed knowledge about the law school experience.

Any student enrolled as a first-year law student for the fall 2019 semester at any Philadelphia area law school or who is from the Philadelphia area but will be attending law school elsewhere is invited to participate.

PDLG Boot Camp provides an introduction to the subjects taught the first year of law school- and the teaching approaches used - through classes taught by the professors who teach them in area law schools. Professors will also explain approaches to learning, exam taking and other essential skills needed to succeed as law students. There will be advice from 2nd and 3rd year law students. There will also be a panel of experienced lawyers discussing their very different career paths.

PDLG Boot Camp is free and there is no application process – you just sign up.
